MEDIA IMPACT

Mediatize MOANA NUI adventure internationally.

Raise awareness locally and globally
to the protection of the oceans

A documentary series, a web series, and perhaps even an international fictional feature film will spearhead the media impact of the MOANA NUI Odyssey.

MOANA NUI is a meta-project that brings together adventure, ecology and culture, all enhanced by a strong media push to increase the level of international interest in the Pacific ocean,

and therefore for all the seas and oceans of this planet.

Christophe Mercier – Founder of the MOANA NUI project

.

Léa Brassy, adventurer, Guillaume Néry, world champion of free diving, Sandra Bessudo, former Colombian minister of the environment and founder of the Malpelo marine reserve… Many personalities from the arts, sports and culture will participate in the MOANA NUI Odyssey and its media extensions. They will become international opinion leaders for the protection of the oceans, carrying the MOANA NUI spirit.

..

“Calypso’s Odyssey”, “Ushuaïa”, “The Emerald Forest”, “The March of the penguins”, “Home”…

All these movies, documentaries and series have more than contributed to raising the ecological awareness of our societies.

Magnifying Nature, highlighting the dangers to the survival of the human race caused by the destruction of the environment and climate change, these widely broadcast media objects have often had more impact than dozens of international conferences.

Without them, we might not even know that our planet is in danger.

.

“The Emerald Forest”, “The March og the Penguins”, “The World of Silence”: all these international films have awakened our environmental awareness. BONNE PIOCHE PRODUCTION, our partner for MOANA NUI films and documentaries, with their experience in the field, and their Oscar in Hollywood for “The March of the Penguins”, will know how to magnify our Odyssey, for a maximum media impact and coverage.

Interview with Emmanuel PRIOU, associate producer of BONNE PIOCHE PRODUCTION, partner in the development of TV/cinema productions around the Odyssey MOANA NUI

.

The MOANA NUI Odyssey, claiming the heritage of these media works, carries a strong message, global and transposable to many aspects of our society:

Ancestral peoples, in the heart of the largest ocean in the world, faced with the overexploitation of their habitats, the depletion of resources and the growth of their populations, managed to take the path of sustainable development, respectful of Nature, without giving up progress.

.

What a lesson from the past for our fragile 21st century !

Protecting our oceans and our planet, preserving our future and future generations, is our challenge.

.

A wind of freedom will blow on the MOANA NUI ecological adventure : all the ingredients will be gathered to produce quality media content for all audiences.

.

Finding back this state of mind, this will to survive and live, to build this ecological transition, will be the whole story, the challenge and the message of the MOANA NUI Odyssey.

Christophe Mercier – Founder of the MOANA NUI Project.

A 5×52′ documentary series produced by BONNE PIOCHE PRODUCTION (the producers of “March of the Penguins”, the Oscar-winning ecological film in Hollywood), with a vocation for international broadcasting, will tell the story of the MOANA NUI Odyssey Adventure, while web series will broadcast the training and awareness actions of our project, in the heart of the Pacific but also internationally.

The participants in the MOANA NUI experience – scientists, sportsmen, journalists, adventurers, artists – will have to get as close as possible to the living conditions of the ancient peoples of the Pacific, to find and apply their ecological knowledges.

They will become the future relays of opinion for the defense of the oceans and the objectives of MOANA NUI.

Of course, the press and TV news will cover the major stages of the expedition.

A full-length fiction movie (“VAKA”, currently in development) could also be made, taking up the themes of MOANA NUI.

It would be the “highlight” and “climax” of the international communication sought by our project, as far as ocean preservation is concerned.

Learning how to live in harmony with Nature, on isolated islands’ environment : MOANA NUI proposes a return to our roots that is both life-saving and rich in lessons for our future.

.

In MOANA NUI, there is adventure, environment, human, culture, it speaks of the Pacific ocean but also of something much more global, and we think that this project has an international scope, whether on the big or small screen.

Emmanuel Priou, producer, BONNE PIOCHE PRODUCTION

This international media push will be a central part of our strategy to raise global and local awareness of ocean protection, and thus an integral part of our environmental mission
